"Jewfish Or Goliath Grouper!" Jewfish are the true monsters of the shallows. There are Jewfish aka(Goliath Grouper) bigger than just about any fish in our waters except for maybe whale sharks and other abnormally large creatures that swim in our waters. These Goliath Grouper can be found in water as shallow as two to three feet. There can be fish as large as 1000 pounds in waters as shallow as 20 feet. It is truly mesmerizing at the actual size some of these shallow water monsters can get. Their sizes are not the only things that are mesmerizing, their apetites are as well. It seems the bigger bait you use the bigger the Jewfish you will get. Hooking them is typically not the problem, landing them is. They are the strongest fish you will probably ever have an opportunity to tangle with. Below are some of the Monsters and smaller ones we were able to land.
